Target the Future (TF) is an organization dedicated to assisting the Clay Target Shooters achieve their potential in both Education and the Clay Target Sports. Target the Future is rooted in the understanding that leadership, problem solving, confidence, teamwork, and other critical life skills can be learned through the mastery of the clay target disciplines, and we are dedicated to the development of future leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, artists, and community leaders through the advancement of academics and competitive clay target shooting.
Target the Future will promote an understanding with young shooters that family, community, academics, and integrity take priority over excellence on the clay target range, but the pursuit of excellence in sport shooting provides an opportunity to develop discipline and mental fortitude that facilitates success in the higher priority areas of life.
In practice, Target the Future will strive to support the pursuits of many young shooters who ascribe to the TF prioritization that family, community, and academics come first. From this perspective, while significant TF resources will be dedicated to supporting young people in clay target shooting, the ultimate goal of TF will be to provide college scholarships to young shooters who meet our organizational criteria so that they may apply the discipline and mental training they acquired while learning to shoot clay targets to their future professional and societal contributions.
